Drake Anthony Winslett was born June 27th,1988 in San Diego, CA to Lt. General Michael Winslett and Amy Fitzpatrick at the MCAS Miramar. He was the oldest of 3 sons between these high school sweethearts.
Although Amy & Michael were New York Natives, they moved often due to the fact that Michael was a Marine. The Winslett family lived every where from Okinawa, Japan to Oahu, HI to Jacksonville, NC to Yuma, AZ before they finally moved the family back to their hometown of Manhattan, NY for good. This is where 15 year old Drake first got his taste of life in the Upper East Side. He was sent to one of the most prestigious private schools in the city.
Mrs. Winslett came from what they called "old money" (aka wealthy parents, grandparents and great-grandparents) and paired with her husband's military background, they just knew that this would be a good choice for their oldest son. They had no problem at all getting him accepted. Their household was ran very strict and it was very hard for Drake to get away with anything. He was always the one to walk the straight and narrow. This had him wound up so tight that he finally broke. By the time Drake was a sophomore, he had a full-on rebellion. He was breaking curfew, talking back, and coming home drunk the next morning from parties. His father was frustrated, but also didn't have much time to correct this behavior because he was deployed to Iraq for a year. This left his mom to raise her three sons and to deal with Drake's rebellious behavior all by herself. She soon realized that she couldn't control him and eventually just gave up on trying to control him.
Drake had found an elite group of friends who he felt were more of his style. They were the popular crowd who rode to school in limos, held parties in the hotel suites that their parents paid for and who engaged in all typed of explicit but their parents would have never suspected it from them because they just looked too perfect on the outside.
Drake was welcomed with open arms by these kids because he wasn't just new to the crowd, but he was also competition. He was handsome, eloquent and he had traveled all over the world. He gave off a confident air that he was much better than these kids and that they should thank their lucky stars that he wanted to be their friend.
Drake also learned that if you'd just keep up your grades and hide all sorts of negative behaviors from your parents that life would be smooth sailing and that was just what he did. By the time his dad returned from Iraq, he had a whole new outlook on things. To his father, he was the perfect son a wonderful example to his 2 younger brothers. His grades were excellent and he was also excelling in his new past time; soccer. He had played a bit when was in Japan as a child and picked the hobby up again when he reached high school. He liked it so much and thought he did so well that he even made it onto the team for the school. He liked the attention that he received when he played soccer. He loved having girls admire him because they thought he was such a wonderful athlete, but he also loved how he made some of the guys jealous with his impressive skills. This need for attention would be the supreme guiding force in his life.

He can't stand rejection. If he is rejected there's often a tantrum thrown and some plot of revenge is cooked up. |
